
U.S. Automobile Consumer Study Report
When it comes to cars, consumers know which brands are associated with luxury and elevated quality. In our survey of 3,000 respondents who currently own and drive a vehicle, and are looking to purchase a new or used vehicle in the next 12 months, Mercedes-Benz, Lexus, Porsche, and Audi were the brands receiving the highest quality perception scores.

Key Findings on Consumer Automobile Spending:
- 44% of respondents indicated that they plan on spending less than $25K on their next vehicle purchase.
- Slightly more than one quarter stated that they intend to use personal savings on their next vehicle.
- 30% of respondents plan to finance their new vehicle through a bank or a credit union.
- The majority of respondents stated that they would be willing to pay more for an eclectic vehicle that has the same features, amenities, and functions as a gasoline-powered vehicle.
